'Surface Transmissions' is a piece created from field recordings above and below the water surface at wetlands along coastal New South Wales.

The release of this piece coincide with World Wetlands Day.

World Wetlands Day is celebrated internationally each year on 2 February. It marks the anniversary of the signing of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Convention) in Ramsar, Iran, on 2 February 1971.

'Surface Transmission' contains recordings from the following wetlands in New South Wales: Cudgera Creek (Pottsville), North Creek (Ballina), Warriewood Wetlands (Warriewood), Narawang Wetlands (Sydney Olympic Park), Badu Mangroves (Sydney Olympic Park), Duck River (Silverwater), Narrawallee Creek (Narrawallee), and Burrill Lake (Burrill Lake).
